The Meaning of Privileged Moments in Knausgård‘s My Struggle

Norwegian author Karl-Ove Knausgård’s six-volume opus magnum My Struggle (2009-2011) has achieved more international public recognition and scholarly attention than any other work by a Nordic author in the 21. century. The autobiographical dimension of these monumental works has hitherto been in the foreground, but in this lecture, Gísli Magnússon will focus on his interest in privileged moments in art, literature, nature, and love.
