Málfundur um ungt fólk og ESB
Ísafold - ungt fólk gegn ESB-aðild, í samstarfi við Orator, félag laganema við HÍ boða til málfundar um ungt fólk og Evrópusambandið fimmtudaginn 11. mars næstkomandi í sal 101 á Háskólatorgi kl. 11.40-12.20
Yfirskrift fundarins er ,,Ungt fólk og ESB - hvað græðum við á aðild?". Ræðumenn verða þau Maria Elvira Mendez dósent í evrópurétti, Magnús Árni Magnússon aðjúnkt í stjórnmálafræði og Tale Marte Dæhlen formaður Ungdom mot EU í Noregi.
Hvert þeirra mun halda um 10 mínútna erindi. Erindin fjalla um áhrif mögulegrar aðildar Íslands að ESB á ungt fólk með áherslu á menntun, lýðræði, atvinnu/atvinnuleysi og fleiri málefni sem snúa að hagsmunum ungs fólks. Ræðumenn, sem hafa mismunandi skoðanir á þessum málaflokki, munu í erindum sínum leitast við að svara því hvers vegna eða hvers vegna ekki ungt fólk ætti að vilja ganga í ESB. Í lok erindanna verða fyrirspurnir leyfðar úr sal.

A forum on young people and the EU will be held on Thursday, the 11th of March in room 101 in Háskólatorg from 11.40 to 12.20. The topic is, ,Young people and the EU - what's in it for us?" and the speakers will be Maria Elvira Mendez Pinedo associate professor in law, Magnús Árni Magnússon adjunct in political science and Tale Marte Dæhlen leader of Ungdom mot EU in Norway.
The speakers will each give a 10 minute speech.The speeches will be on the effects of Iceland's possible EU-membership on young people, regarding education, democracy, employment/unemployment and other interests of young people. The speakers, who have different views on the matter, will in their speeches, try to answer the question why young people should or should not want to join the EU. After the speeches, questions from the audience are allowed.
